2018 Social Impact Challenge Kickoff

January 17 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Open to all U-M students, the 2018 Social Impact Challenge gives multidisciplinary teams the opportunity to tackle a live case statement, investigate a critical issue, and develop recommendations for a mission-driven organization. Finalists present to executives and city leaders for potential implementation and a $3,000 first prize.

This year, the Center for Social Impact has teamed up with the Ford School of Public Policy and the Detroit Economic Growth Corporation (DEGC) to focus on pop-ups that encourage neighborhood revitalization and small business development in Detroit.

All participating teams are required to have a representative at the kickoff. In addition to further defining the case, the session will allow students in need of team members to network.  Pizza will be provided.  Immediately following the Kickoff will be a case competition workshop at 8pm.

The deadline to register multidisciplinary teams was Wed, Jan. 17 at 9 am.
