Over 200 students, partners, and guests joined us on April 22 to celebrate and discuss future collaboration to tackle social problems. Among the highlights was honoring our Student of the Year – Sam Charner, MBA ’16 – our outgoing VP of Board Fellowship and the incoming Ross Net Impact President.

U-M VP of Gov. Relations Cynthia Wilbanks said that the Center is “a wonderful example of how UM contributes to community and economic development throughout the state.” Keynote David Egner, Executive Director of Detroit’s New Economy Initiative, advised students interested in social impact careers to proceed with humility and to “value the connectors,” such as the Center.
