Michigan Business Challenge – Round Two

Competing teams in Round 2 of the campus-wide Michigan Business Challenge (including teams in the Impact Track) give a seven-minute presentation that describes their company’s solution to a pressing market need or pain, an estimation of the market size, and their financial assumptions. This is followed by ten minutes of questions from the judges. Teams who advance to the Impact Track Finals will receive $500. The Center for Social Impact, Zell Lurie Institute and the Erb Institute are co-sponsors of the Impact Track

Michigan Business Challenge Impact Track Finals

Teams will have the opportunity to write a marketing and financial overview for their company and complete a business plan.  Finalists in the Impact Track and Semi-finalists in the Challenge-at-large will present their business plans for 15 minutes and will have 15 minutes to respond to questions from the judges. Finalists will get to discuss their businesses with the judges during a interactive sessions. Impact Track is co-sponsored by the Center for Social Impact, Zell Lurie Institute and Erb Institute.

Michigan Business Challenge Impact Track Showcase and Awards Reception

Impact Track finalists display information about their companies in the fifth floor Blau Colloquium from 5-6 pm.  This will present judges, teams, and the public to mingle and discuss the direction and concepts behind the student ideas.  At 6:15, award winners will be announced in the Colloquium; there are several awards that are awarded in addition to the other large named awards.  This will be followed by mingling during a reception.
