Social Entrepreneurship at Michigan

The Center for Social Impact serves as a catalyst for social enterprise and social entrepreneurship on campus and in the community. The Center has helped seed, support, and launch an array of opportunities and initiatives. Some of the Center’s work includes piloting the Impact Track of the Michigan Business Challenge, funding Ross MBA’s to travel across the country to work with social entrepreneurs, and helping incubate innovative organizations such as optiMize.

The Center is also an active member and supporter of the local and regional social enterprise ecosystem. From sponsorship and mentorship for programs such as the Michigan Social Entrepreneurship Challenge and Build Social to helping launch and support the regional Social Enterprise Alliance chapter, the Center works to develop and deepen the social enterprise ecosystem.

“The Michigan Business Challenge and Impact Track not only improved our ability to concisely present our business plan, but more importantly, afforded us an opportunity to receive critical feedback on our venture.”
